Discovery Academy is an initiative of St. Cloud Technical College - intended to offer advanced technical course work to cohort groups of high school students - filling a gap - where cooperation between high school and college will offer more opportunity for students.
Discovery Academy/mentored is an initiative of St. Cloud Technical College intended to offer general education and technical courses to high school students - filling a gap - where specific college level courses were not available in the past. [PSEO System Procedure 3.5]
Tech Prep is a federally funded program within the Carl D Perkins Act - it is administered by the state. It is intended to provide entry level technical courses to high school students and create a bridge between secondary and post secondary.
PSEO is a state program intended to offer eligible high school students more challenging academic course work.

High School teachers - Masters in the discipline or Masters plus16 credits in the course discipline. Teachers of Technical courses must have specified training as determined by SCTC.

Evidence of ability to perform college-level work as defined by the college SCTC - ACCUPLACER "Ability to Benefit" scores
- Student must submit a Technical College Application form and a copy of their high school transcript
